Timber Drying Floors
FLR CropDrying timber drying floors are engineered to provide optimal conditions for drying various crops. These floors are designed with efficiency and durability in mind, ensuring a long life and uniform airflow throughout the drying or cooling process.
All our top boards are kiln dried prior to machining to prevent shrinkage and reduce the risk of splitting.
The hardwood boards are pre-drilled to further reduce the risk of splitting and to promote accurate nail positioning.
A standard Flach & Le-Roy drive-on floor is designed to support a 10 tonne axle load on pneumatic tyres, which is adequate for the majority of normal farm machinery applications.
For commercial applications utilising heavier machinery the floor can be designed and fitted with additional and/or wider floor bearers to cater for the higher loads.
In addition, where high frequency store loading is likely the top boards can be screwed to the bearers instead of nailed to facilitate quicker board replacement in the event of damage.
Our confidence in our top of the range hardwood and softwood installations is reflected in our 10-year warranty against faulty manufacturing, materials or installation.
Store Construction
A standard Flach & Le-Roy drive-on floor designed for agricultural users will support a 10 tonne axle load on pneumatic tyres. The hardwood top boards can be supplied either nailed or screwed to the bearers depending on the frequency of batch drying operation and the perceived rate of wear. This floor design is adequate for normal farm machinery applications.
For commercial suppliers of woodchip utilising heavy machinery above 10 tonnes the floor is designed and fitted with additional floor bearers to cater for the higher loads. All top boards are supplied in Keruing hardwood and each board can be screwed to the bearers to enable simple changeover when boards eventually begin to wear. The timber main air duct carrying heated air from the biomass/heat exchanger system is typically constructed from hardwood frames clad with hardwood faced ply.
Our confidence in our top of the range hardwood and softwood installations is reflected in our 10-year warranty against faulty manufacturing, materials or installation.
